A video clip on social media showed a young woman who was beaten, forced to confess to being a “military informant,” and later shot dead on a pavement spread. 

 The video clip is only more than 3 minutes long and does not include the exact location of the incident but those shared the video clip wrote that the incident took place in Tamu and was done by Tamu PDF (People Defense Forces) No.4 Battalion.

According to the preliminary video, the young woman was a Non-CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) teacher. Her name and the place of this incident are still unknown. The woman in the video was handcuffed, beaten, and forced to confess as an informer to the ruling military. 

She was  beaten, slapped, and kicked in the video clip. An interrogator asked the woman “Do you like money that much?” A woman was among the interrogators. The young woman in tears replied that she wasn’t a military informer and that she didn’t know what to say to please the interrogators.

Later, her handcuffs were removed and her eyes were covered with a black mask. She was orced to kneel on the pavement and was told to raise her arms. Soon after, she was brutally shot dead four times. Some passerby also seen in the video file at the time of the incident. Further comment could be made concerning the incident as contact was unavailable with the locals from Tamu.

The video file has also been posted on the Han Nyein Oo Telegram channel, which is well-known among those who write news in support of the ruling military. 

According to the data collected by both sides, there are about 6,000 deaths of unarmed civilians in the conflicts occurred after February 1, 2021. 

Due to the assassination attempts in entire Myanmar, there are a total of 4,037 deaths including ward administrators, government staff, monks, nuns, civilians accused as military informers, members of Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) and some political parties members till October 31, 2022, and among the deaths, there are more than 100 children included, according to the statement issued by the State Administration Council (SAC). On the other hand, Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP) issued that there are 2,553 deaths till December 2, 2022 by the shooting of security forces. 

Among the 4,000 deaths accused as being military informers in entire Myanmar till March, 2022, 1,327 deaths were USDP members and its supporters. As of October 31, 2022, a total of 67 monks, and a nun, 40 education staff and 13 health workers were killed. Among the 67 monks who were killed, 3 were from Kachin State, one from Chin State, 29 from Sagaing Region, 14 from Magway Region, 11 from Mandalay Region, 3 from Yangon Region, one from Ayeyawaddy Region, one from Bago Region, and 4 from Mon State while a nun was from Magway Region. 

Among the 40 education staff who were killed, one each from Nay Pyi Taw and Chin State, 19 from Sagaing Region, 2 each from Taninthayi Region and Bago Region,8 from Magway Region, 5 from Mandalay Region, one each from Yangon Region and Shan State. Among the 13 health workers who were killed, 6 from Sagaing Region, 3 from Magway Region, 2 from Mandalay Region, one each from Mon State and Shan State. There were 19 health workers who were injured, and the highest number was 10 from Sagaing Region, it is said.
