A woman plastic bottle collector in Myitkyina was stabbed and robbed in Yampu ward in Myitkyina, Kachin State around 1:00 pm on March 24.

The place where robbery took place was not far from people’s sight but near the Bandaryeik Beer shop according to chair of Myitkyina Ayeyawaddy Philanthropic Association U Than Tun.

“As the stomach was stabbed, guts were falling from the opening wound. She wrapped her injury with her head turban. She was robbed and stabbed as she denied giving the money. Her situation is 50; 50 percent. We admitted her to the Myitkyina hospital immediately,” said 

The victim was around 40 years old and no one knows where she was living. Investigation is being made to locate her address. According to one of the former ward administrators of Yampu ward said such incidents are happening frequently. A man was killed with stabbed wounds yesterday at the Yampu market. A mine explosion occurred near a high school. The main cause is selling drugs illegally and freely. No prevention can take place now.

A young lawyer from Tatkone modal ward was stabbed and robbed at the Myitkyina Myoma Naung sports grounds on January 3.

Frequent looting while riding motorbikes, looting of motorbikes or mobile phones by stopping the way, burglary cases  were happened daily in some cities in Kachin State and in some cases, people were killed.
