A passenger bus was attacked by mine near Kamar Saing village, Donewon village tract in Thahton Township, Mon State in the evening of January 5.

“Thiha Min passenger bus was coming from Belin to Thahton and was attacked near Kamar Saing village. We heard some gunshots and an explosion. No one dare to go outside to see what happened. It was around 10:00 pm. Later, we knew that a passenger bus was attacked,” said a local.

The driver of the bus was injured at his right eye and the bus conductor was injured at his right cheek. They were sent to Thahton hospital. On March 29, 2022, clashes occurred at the same road where two children died and a man was injured. Similarly, clashes occurred on October 13, 2022 where a bus conductor was injured.
