A MR staff shot for three times at Theinphyu traffic lights

An employee from Myanma Railways (MR) was shot three times at the Theinphyu traffic lights on Bo Min Yaung Road in Theinphyu Railway Ward, Mingalar Taungnyunt Township at around 9 am on October 13, sources said.

He was seriously injured in the shooting and it is unknown if he died. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance, said a resident lived near Theinphyu traffic lights.

A resident near the Theinphyu traffic lights in Mingalar Taungnyunt Township said, "It happened just after we opened our shop this morning. We heard three gunshots. He is an employee of Myanma Railways. It is not known if he was dead or alive."

The victim was Htein Win aka Yankin Maung, an employee of the MR, who was working at News and Information Department.

He was driving from Yangon Central Station to the office of the MR in Botahtaung Township when he was shot three times by an unidentified man when he arrived at the Theinphyu traffic lights.
