A man was arrested in Yangon on July 12 for robbing the house of a deputy director general of the Ministry of Labour in Nay Pyi Taw , according to local sources.
Moreover, some weapons and ammunition were seized at his rented house in Dhakhina Thiri Township, in Nay Pyi Taw.
On the evening of July 10, an unknown man entered the house of the deputy director general from the Ministry of Labour in No.9 of Mya Shwe Wah street in new VIP Ward, Htantapin village, Dhakhina Thiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw. Later, the man tied the house owner with tapes and took a laptop, a Macebook, 800,000 kyats and the land grant.
The police members from Lawe and Dhakhina Thiri Townships checked the CCTV footages and launched the investigations after filing a case against the robbery.
Later, Phone Naing Win, who committed the robbery was arrested in Yangon Region on July 12 and he confessed it. According to his confession, the police members seized the devices being used in the robbery, weapons and ammunitions at his rented house.
