Sixty-nine passengers who arrived at Yangon International Airport via South Korea will be quarantined for 14 days, according to the statement by Ministry of Health and Sports on 11 March.
Six Myanmar citizens who arrived back from the severely-virus hit Daegu, Chengwon, Miyann and Gimhae in South Korea are being quarantined at the Women and Children Hospital in South Okkalapa Township in Yangon for 14 days, according to the statement by Ministry of Health and Sports.
The remaining 63 passengers who arrived back from other regions are placed under home and hotel quarantine.
The ministry previously announced that the persons who will come back from Daegu, North Gyeongsang (Gyeongsangbuk-do) and South Gyeongsang (Gyeongsangnam-do) in South Korea will be placed in hospital quarantine and those from other regions of South Korea, in home or hotel quarantine.
Till 11 March, there is no lab-confirmed case in Myanmar. The ministry has stepped up its surveillance measures against Covid-19.
The ministry also urges the public to abide by the preventive measures against Covid-19.
