The 60th Myanmar Jade and Gems Emporium will feature 5,064 lots of raw jade, as well as polished jade, raw gemstones, finished jewelry, and pearl lots for display and sale, according to the reports.

The opening ceremony of the 60th emporium was held yesterday morning at the Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw, attended by Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

During the ceremony, attendees—including the Acting President—viewed a documentary on Myanmar’s pearl production and market potential, gemstone manufacturing, and preparations for hosting the 60th Myanmar Jade and Gems Emporium.

Following the ceremony, the Acting President and guests inspected the jade, gemstone, and pearl lots exhibited inside the hall for sale at the emporium. Officials provided briefings, and the Acting President gave necessary guidance.

They then proceeded to observe private polished gemstone showrooms and inspected the raw jade lots displayed in the outdoor area.

Present at the event were Union ministers who are members of the commission, the commission secretary, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, officials from relevant departments, representatives of Myanmar Gems Entrepreneurs Association, invited guests, and local and foreign gem traders.

The 60th Myanmar Jade and Gems Emporium will continue until 26 November. A total of 5,064 lots of raw jade, 21 lots of polished jade, 13 lots of raw gemstones, 147 lots of finished gemstone jewelry, and 489 lots of pearls will be sold to domestic and international gem merchants through an open-bid tender system. Payments will be accepted in US dollars, euros, Chinese yuan, Thai baht, and other foreign currencies approved by the Central Bank of Myanmar.
