4, including 3 receiving Covid jabs, wounded in bomb attacks on administrator’s office in Mayangon

Bomb attacks were carried out on Ward No.1 Administrator’s Office in Mayangon Township on August 1 wounding four people including three receiving Covid-19 jabs, according to a government press release.  



A man in red clothes threw two bombs into the administration office at about 12 noon on August 1 when staff from the health ministry, members of social aid organization and officials were there administering Covid vaccines to member of the public. 



Of those waiting to get vaccinated, three people namely U Nyan Hlaing, U Nan Win and U Thein Lwin were wounded by shrapnel. The first two sustained minor injuries but the last one seriously injured. Moreover, Daw Thiri Thaw Thaw, one of the volunteers, was seriously wounded. They were sent to a military hospital for treatment.  





Security forces are in hot pursuit of the bomber. 

The statement urges public members to report whereabouts of the terrorist if they get any news about him. 

The State is speeding up Covid-19 prevention and control measures while carrying out nationwide vaccinations, most essential in prevention.
