Three of the four suspects who robbed Ye Min Aung Money Changer in Mingalar Taungnyunt Township, Yangon Region, have been arrested, MRTV reported at 8pm news hour on November 19.
The robbery occurred at the money changer located on Theinbyu Street in Mingalar Taungnyunt Township at about 4.15pm on November 12, and about 30 million kyats and a mobile phone were taken away.
Three men entered the shop while another was waiting outside. Two men threatened with a gun and another with a knife, and the shop was robbed of the money and an IPhone. The robbers left a pistol, a magazine and nine bullets at the shop and they were later seized by authorities.
One suspected named Aung Paing Oo, aged 19, living in the same township was arrested together with 4.5 million kyats and a Redmi K30 phone at Myayagon traffic lights on Bo Min Yaung Street on November 18.
Investigation led to the arrest of two other suspects, Aung Ye Naing and Min Hein, both of whom are 24 years old, on the same day.
According to their confession, the robbery was led by Wai Gyi (aka) Wai Phyo Aung, who is still at large. The pistol used in the robbery was taken by Wai Gyi.
The robbery case has been filed at Mingalar Taungnyunt Police Station.
