Myanmar has seen 1,418 more Covid-19 cases and 30 more deaths bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 95,018 and the total number of deaths to 2,028, the Ministry of Health and Sports reported at 8 pm on December 3.

From 8pm on December 2 to 8 pm on December 3, 22,719 lab tests were carried out and 1,418 confirmed cases reported. Of the 30 dead patients over the day, 24 had underlying health conditions.

A total of 1,147 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospital on December 3 after their recovery, bringing the total number of those discharged to 73,748.

Of those in close contact with the Covid-19 patients, 1,841 tested negative for the coronavirus but they have been instructed to stay at home restricting their movement.

According to the ministry, authorities are conducting mass educative campaigns such as wearing masks without fail and staying at home. Moreover, masks and face shields are being distributed to public members.
