The 61st Myanmar Gems Emporium continued its third day at the Mani Yadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw, selling 196 pearl lots through an open tender system.
Local and foreign merchants examined the displays of pearls, gems, and jade before submitting bids for tenders No. 3 and No. 4, with Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U San Oo inspecting the bidding and sales operations on site.
Upcoming sessions will offer 240 pearl lots on Day 4, followed by 160 gem lots on Day 5. Bidding will then proceed to 3,073 jade lots divided into three groups, which will be sold between October 13 and 17. The emporium, which also hosts private jewelry shops, runs through October 17.
