President U Min Aung Hlaing returns from Malaysia

President U Min Aung Hlaing returned to Nay Pyi Taw on the evening of October 8 after a two-day official visit to Malaysia at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

President U Min Aung Hlaing and a high-level Myanmar delegation departed Kuala Lumpur International Airport aboard a special flight on Thursday afternoon (October 8)  and arrived at Nay Pyi Taw Airport later in the day.

The delegation was welcomed at the airport by Vice Presidents U Nyo Saw and Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe, military chief of staff General Ye Win Oo, union ministers, the commander of the Nay Pyi Taw Regional Military Command, and officials from the Malaysian Embassy and military attaché office in Myanmar.

During the visit, U Min Aung Hlaing met with Anwar Ibrahim for bilateral talks and attended a press conference and discussed on strengthening bilateral friendship and cooperation, expanding investment and economic ties, and enhancing collaboration across various sectors, according to the report.

The Myanmar delegation included Union Ministers U Khin Maung Yi, U Tin Maung Swe, U Min Naung, U Myint Kyaing, U Maung Myint and U Tun Ohn, as well as Rakhine State Chief Minister U Naing Oo, Ayeyarwady Region Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw, senior military officers, deputy ministers and other officials.
