Myanmar singer Sai Sai Kham Leng drew a large audience at his “A Night in Bangkok” concert despite heavy rain and flooding in Bangkok on September 26.

The evening concert, featuring Sai Sai Kham Leng, Ye Lay, Bunny Phyo and Bobby Soxer, was held at the Grand Ballroom on the fifth floor of PHENIX Pratunam in Bangkok.

Some ticket holders reportedly tried to resell their tickets on social media before the concert because flooding had caused travel difficulties. However, videos posted online showed a large crowd attending the event.

Tickets were priced at 800 baht and 1,000 baht, while 16 private and premium balcony packages were also available at 30,000 baht and 25,000 baht respectively. All allocated tickets were reportedly sold.

Sai Sai Kham Leng also attracted a large audience at his concert held at The First Mandalay Event Park in Mandalay on September 6.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration issued a flood disaster warning on September 26 after three consecutive days of heavy rainfall, covering all 50 districts of Bangkok. The Bangkok governor said 11.8 inches of rain had fallen since the afternoon of September 25, prompting authorities to activate local emergency response measures.

Thailand also experienced severe nationwide flooding in 2011, which killed more than 500 people and caused extensive damage to homes and property.
