Myanmar and Russia have signed and exchanged several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during a ceremony held at the Kremlin in Moscow.
The ceremony took place on the evening of August 18, local time, in the presence of Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing and Russian President Mr. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Officials from both countries signed and exchanged 12 MoUs aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Members of the Myanmar delegation accompanying President U Min Aung Hlaing, including U Khin Maung Yi, U Tin Maung Swe, Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein, Dr. Thet Khaing Win, U Ko Ko Lwin, Dr. Charlie Than, Myanmar Ambassador to Russia U Myo Moe Aung and other officials, attended the ceremony. Russian officials also attended alongside President Putin.
Following the signing ceremony, President U Min Aung Hlaing and President Putin attended a joint press conference.
