Thirty-six inmates from Insein Central Prison have passed the 2026 Myanmar Matriculation Examination, including one student who achieved distinctions in three subjects.

The 2026 matriculation examination results were announced on the morning of 28 June. Among those who sat the examination at Insein Central Prison, 36 inmates successfully passed.

The successful candidates included one student with distinctions in three subjects, one with distinctions in two subjects, five with a distinction in one subject, and 29 who passed without distinctions.

According to the Myanmar Examinations Department, the nationwide pass rate for the 2026 matriculation examination was 52.37 per cent.
