Myanmar and Thailand have held discussions on strengthening bilateral financial cooperation to support trade and investment between the two countries, according to reports.
The discussions took place on January 27 during a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Mongkol Visitstump, the outgoing Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, on the Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar, Daw Than Than Swe, at the Central Bank of Myanmar in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on financial and monetary cooperation aimed at promoting bilateral trade and investment between Myanmar and Thailand.
Deputy Governors of the Central Bank of Myanmar and relevant departmental officials were also present at the meeting.
