After the military regained control of Hsipaw in northern Shan State, it reopened 11 basic education schools by November 1, enrolling a total of 2,470 students.
Authorities said the administration system has resumed operations in Hsipaw and nearby areas, with efforts focused on restoring education, healthcare, and rehabilitation activities for local residents. On November 1, 102 new students were added to existing enrollments, and the Ministry of Educationprovided free textbooks, stationery, and school supplies to all students.
At Hsipaw People’s Hospital, medical teams treated 29 outpatients and 27 inpatients on the same day, continuing to provide healthcare services to local ethnic communities.
Meanwhile, military demining units are clearing mines around government offices and public areas to ensure safety, stability, and long-term development, while security forces continue to maintain order and protect the region.
In addition, a temporary clinic had been operating at Laba Muni Chinese Temple in Kyaukme, and on November 1, the Kyaukme People’s Hospitalwas officially reopened. Military and health officials, along with local residents, attended the opening. That day, the hospital treated 81 outpatients and 10 inpatients requiring medical care.
