The annual Tazaungdaing Balloon Festival in Taunggyi has officially begun. The opening ceremony took place on the evening of October 29, featuring vibrant ethnic traditional dance performances, a simultaneous release of small balloons, and dazzling fireworks.

During the event, the opening Sein Napan balloon was released, followed by entertainment balloons and competition balloons. In total, 12 balloons were released on the first day—one Sein Napan at Sulamuni Pagoda, another Sein Napan at the festival ground, and two entertainment balloons.

The festival, a highlight of the Tazaungdaing celebrations, continues to draw large crowds with its spectacular hot-air balloon displays and traditional festivities.
