The Posts and Telecommunications Department (PTD) has issued a notice to four telecommunications service companies to contact them, saying that action will be taken against companies that do not comply with the rules and instructions.
The Posts and Telecommunications Department, under the Ministry of Transport and Communications, will take action against telecommunications service licensees who fail to comply with the Telecommunications Law, regulations, license terms, and directives in accordance with the law and regulations.
The licenses of four telecommunications service companies: Everlasting Rainbow Construction Company, Myanmar Golden 11 Investment International Company, Tai Telecom Development Company, and VNG Myanmar Company, will be revoked for failing to comply with the obligations of licensees, failing to submit monthly performance reports, and failing to pay annual fees. However, the PTD has issued a notice to those telecommunications service companies to submit the required fees and explanations by July 25 as a reasonable opportunity.
The Department's statement states that if no clarification is made within the specified period, the license will be cancelled according to the licensing regulations.
