A new batch of Chinese-made electric vehicles (EVs) has arrived at Yangon Port, with approval from the National Steering Committee for the Development of Electric Vehicles and Related Industries. These EVs have been imported by various companies and cleared for withdrawal in accordance with the required procedures.
Among the latest arrivals, Tharaphu Soe Myint Co., Ltd. imported Changan Avatr EVs, while China Auto Group Co., Ltd. brought in JMC JMEV EVEASY EVs. Both shipments have been successfully processed.
On February 26, additional shipments arrived, including Changan Eado EVs imported by Myanmar Arr Thit Man Motor Co., Ltd. and GAC Aion S Mei 580 EVs imported by Innogen Myanmar Co., Ltd. These vehicles were also cleared for release.
Earlier, on February 14, several other EVs were imported and processed, including GAC Toyota BZ4X EVs by Amazing Auto Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Nissan Ariya EVs by Asia Pacific Automaker Corporation Co., Ltd., and multiple BYD Dolphin models brought in by Golden Mandalar Co., Ltd. and EV Power Co., Ltd.
On January 14, another batch of EVs arrived, including Dayun Yuehu SI (VIP Edition) EVs imported by Amazing Auto Co., Ltd., Hongqi EQMS EVs imported by UV Automotive Co., Ltd., and Dongfeng Nissan Ariya EVs imported by Qingdao CRRC Sifang Rolling Stock Co., Ltd.
With these ongoing imports, Myanmar continues to expand its electric vehicle market, aligning with national efforts to promote sustainable transportation.
