Gasoline prices in Yangon have risen for two consecutive weeks, while diesel prices have dropped compared to the previous week, according to the Fuel Import, Storage and Distribution Supervision Committee.
The committee publishes weekly fuel prices every Friday, and gasoline prices have risen for two consecutive weeks.
The price of fuel sold on January 31 is 3,180 kyats per litre for 92 Ron, 3,260 kyats per litre for 95 Ron, 2,820 kyats per litre for diesel, and 3,485 kyats per litre for premium diesel.
Starting from January 24, the price of fuel is 3,130 kyats per litre for 92 Ron, 3,200 kyats per litre for 95 Ron, 2,865 kyats per litre for diesel, and 3,525 kyats per litre for premium diesel.
As a result, gasoline prices have increased by 50 kyats per litre for 92 Ron and 60 kyats per litre for 95 Ron.
Diesel prices have decreased by 45 kyats per litre for diesel and 40 kyats per litre for premium diesel.
Recently, according to the statements, the Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) has been continuously selling dollars and other foreign currencies.
The CBM has sold more than 84 million dollars, more than 4.8 million yuan and more than 8.8 million baht during January so far.
In terms of sales in January 2025, the CBM sold 25 million dollars, nearly 700,000 Yuan and more than two million baht on January 2, more than 500,000 Yuan on January 3, 25 million dollars and 2.8 million baht on January 6, more than two million dollars on January 7 and more than 200,000 dollars on January 8, more than 2.2 million dollars on January 9, more than 700,000 yuan on January 10, more than 3.9 million dollars on January 11, 600,000 yuan on January 13, 1,687.04 and over 500,000 baht on January 14, more than 25 million dollars and over 300,000 yuan on January 15, one million baht on January 16, more than 100,000 dollars and over one million yuan on January 17, more than 1.9 million baht on January 20, and 800,000 yuan on January 21.
