Gunman attacks man in Mandalay tea shop after failed shooting attempt

In Mandalay, a man sitting at a tea shop was attacked with a gun, but the bullet failed to discharge, leading the attacker to strike him with the gun instead.

The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on October 18, when an armed individual attempted to shoot a man sitting at a tea shop at the corner of 58th Street and 36th Street in Maha Aungmyay Township.

The victim, U Zaw Min Htet, aged 42, was sitting with a friend when the assailant ran into the tea shop on foot and aimed a gun at him. However, the bullet did not fire, and the bullet casing fell out. The attacker then struck the victim with the gun and fled the scene.

Authorities are investigating the incident and examining the gun that was left behind, as efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect.
