A light truck carrying two person including a driver was attacked around on the afternoon of September 30 by unknown gunmen near Kyaukmichaung (South) village in Ye Township, Mon State, killing a driver, according to local sources.
The victim was Soe Aung, aged 54, living in Thingangyun village. The armed group attacked the light truck near Kyaukmichaung (South) village and the driver died on the spot in the attack.
One of the locals reported that driver Soe Aung died on the spot. Another person on the light truck fainted during the gun attack. She was sent to the Ye District People’s Hospital.
