Mandalay city has seen two Covid-19 deaths this month

A woman patient died of Covid-19 at Mandalay General Hospital on September 12, according to Parahita Min Gaung Search and Rescue Team.

The latest case came in which the woman, aged 25, living in Mandalay died after another man died of the coronavirus on September 9.

“Our team sent the bodies of these two Covid-19 positive people from Mandalay General Hospital to Aye Yeik Nyein cemetery. They were a man who died on September 9, and a woman who died on September 12. These days, we are seeing increasing Covid-19 cases,” said a member of the team.

According to some charity and aid organizations, the number of Covid-19 patients has increased a little in Mandalay city and among them two died at MGH.

Till 8pm on September 12 since the start of the pandemic, 617,056 Covid-19 cases and 19,442 deaths were reported in Myanmar. The number of Covid-19 confirmed cases has increased to a few hundreds since the first week of this month, the Ministry of Health reported.
