Fuel prices declined to Ks.1615 per liter in Yangon

According to the supervisory committee on import, storage and distribution of fuel oil, the prices set on the August 6 was Ks.1615 per liter of 92Ron, Ks.1665 per liter of 95 Ron and Ks.2025 per liter of premium diesel and Ks.1970 per liter of diesel oil.

Fuel oil prices have declined since July and the price on August 6 was much lower than prices sold in July.

On July 7, a liter of 92Ron cost Ks.1835, a liter of 95 Ron cost Ks.1955, a liter of diesel cost Ks.2195 and a liter of premium diesel cost Ks.2225.

On July 23, a liter of 92Ron cost Ks.1665, a liter of 95 Ron cost Ks.1715, a liter of diesel cost Ks.2050 and a liter of premium diesel cost Ks.2110. For the first time, the fuel prices were lower than Ks.1700. 

These prices were calculated based on the foreign currency exchange rate of Ks.1850 per U.S dollar by the central bank of Myanmar.

But, CBM has changed foreign currency exchange rate from Ks.1850 per U.S dollar to Ks.2100 on August 5.

Before February 1, 2021, the prices of a liter of 92Ron cost Ks.620, and a liter of 95 Ron cost Ks.750. After one year, the fuel prices have sky rocketed.
