Locals from Mandalay and Taninthari Regions ring Sirens and honk horns to mark a memorable for 74th Martyrs’ Day which falls on July 19th.

Mandalay Region already has been placed under Stay-at-Home order. So, the annual commemoration of 74th Martyrs’ Day wasn’t held due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

However, relevant Fire Services Departments and Myanma Railways played the Sirens at their departments so also vehicles and motorbikes honked out on the roads this morning.

Manaw Raman Park in Mandalay Region where the mass of people hold the commemoration of Martyrs’ Day yearly already has been closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Likewise, District Fire Services Department on Central Road in Myitnge Ward, Myeik Township, Taninthari Region holds the 74th Martyrs’ Day and plays the Sirens so also pays tribute to fallen heroes.
