Of those COVID-19 confirmed patients taking treatment in hospitals in Mandalay Region, three more patients died within early November, bringing the total number of dead to eleven.   

Till 5 Nov. there have been 1504 COVID-19 confirmed patients in Mandalay District, and of these 947 had recovered and have been discharged from hospital. 548 are still being given  treatment in hospital, and of these nine had died, as disclosed by the Mandalay Region COVID-19 related Information Committee.    

In the entire Mandalay Region, till 5 Nov. There have been 2170 COVID-19 confirmed patients, and 1470 of them had recovered and had been discharged. 689 patients are still being treated in hospital. Till the end of the month of October there had eight patients who had died, including one from Sagaing Region. One from Chanaye Tharzan township died on 1 Nov., one each from Maha Aungmyay township and Myinsachan township on 3 Nov. So from 16 Sept. to 5 Nov. there have been eleven patients who have died.     

In Mandalay Covid confirmed patients were treated at the Kandawnady hospital and the 300-bedded Learning hospital, but due to increase in the number of COVID-19 confirmed patients and the increased number of people that have had contact with them in Mandalay District, the Regional government has expanded hospital and quarantine centres, so that within the month of October the 50-bedded hospital in Central Workers' University in Zibingyi and the Indiginous Hospital in Mandalay have been used as hospitals to treat COVID-19 confirmed patients. In addition the Zivitadana Sangha Hospital in Aungmyay Tharzan township has also been renovated to treat Covid confirmed patients. Furthermore the Mandalay Thiri Football ground in Chanmya Tharzi township has also been converted into a 300-bedded hospital by Ayeyarwady Foundation so that within these days patients can be given treatment here.
