Myanmar reports 1,197 confirmed cases on Nov 3

Myanmar found 1,197 new COVID-19 confirmed patients on October 28 bringing the total number of patients to 55,804 and 25 more had died, announced the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on the night of November 3.

A total of 13,642 samples are tested between 8 pm of November 2 and 8 pm of November 3 and found 1,197 confirmed patients, it said.

A total of 1,109 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing the total number of people to 39,063. 21 out of 25 patients died on November 3 are the patients with underlying chronic medical conditions. Up to 1,282 patients have died from the virus, it said.

It said 722,135 samples were tested till November 3 and found 55,804 patients so far.

A total of 1,476 people, who had close contact with positive patients in Yangon Region and tested negative, are put in home quarantine, it said.

Hospitals in Yangon Region are testing COVID-19 suspects using rapid antigen diagnostic test kits and there are people who lost their sense of smell and taste included, announced the MOHS.
