Myanmar sees 1,012 new COVID cases with 25 deaths

Myanmar found 1,012 COVID-19 new confirmed cases on October 8 and 25 more people died announced the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on the night of October 8.

A total of 12,268 samples are tested on October 7 and 8, and found 1,012 confirmed patients, it said.

A total of 282  people are allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing the total number of people to 6,366.  Till now, Myanmar has confirmed cases of 22,445. Up to 535 patients have died from the virus, it said.

Hospitals in Yangon Region are testing COVID-19 suspects using rapid anti-gen diagnostic test kits, and among the tests, those with loss of smell are included, announced the MOHS.
