Myanmar finds record single-day surge to 166

YANGON-The total number of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar has surged to 1,464, with 166 more confirmed cases reported at a single-day, according to the release of the Ministry of Health and Sports this morning.

In the second batch for September 6, the National Health Laboratory (Yangon) tested 987 samples. Among them, 45 confirmed cases were reported.    

For the whole day of September 6, 3,007 samples were tested—1,830 by NHL (Yangon), 250 by DMR, 330 by the Public Health Laboratory (Mandalay), 105 by Sittway People’s Hospital, 60 by Kyaukphyu People’s Hospital, 11 by Pathein People’s Hospital, 30 by Nay PYi Taw People’s Hospital (bed-1000), 2 by Loikaw People’s Hospital, 333 by No.1 Military Hospital (bed-1000) and 56 by No. 2 Military Hospital in Yangon.

Myanmar has so far seen 1,464 COVID-19 cases and eight deaths.
