Myanmar found 12 new COVID-19 cases on the night of April 23, bringing the total number to 139, announced the Ministry of Health and Sports on the morning of April 24.
National Health Laboratory in Yangon conducted 82 lab tests in the first batch and five persons tested positive for the virus on April 23.
So far, nine patients have been allowed to discharge from the hospitals and they have been restricted at home. Out of 139 COVID-19 confirmed patients, five of them are died, announced the ministry.
Two patients are under intensive care at Waibargi hospital and one is kept at ICU ward in South Oakkalapa Maternal and Child hospital. The remaining 122 patients are in stable condition.
The new COVID-19 patients are transferred to respective hospitals to give treatment, announced the ministry.
