Yangon Region Social Affairs Minister placed in home-quarantine

Yangon-Yangon Region Minister for Social Affairs U Naing Ngan Lin who met the quarantined people in Hlegu Township has been placed in 14-day home-quarantine on 24 March.

“The health department told me to stay at home for 14 days. I will continue doing my works from home," U Naing Ngan Lin said.

This came after the 26-year-old man who returned from England tested positive for the COVID-19.

He visited Myanmar returnees who are placed under quarantine, at the medical training school in Hlegu Township on 22 March. 

On the evening of 22 March, the quarantined persons were moved to Ashin Say Kane’s monastery. 

Now, there have been three confirmed cases in Myanmar.
