A total of 59 Myanmar students being quarantined for 14 days at Kandawnadi Hospital in Mandalay will be allowed to go home today (16 February) as they show no symptoms of novel coronavirus, said Mandalay Mayor Dr. Ye Lwin, Chair of Surveillance and Response Team.
“They all are in good condition. Until now, no suspicious symptoms are found. They can go home after their body temperatures have been measured at 7.30 pm. Tomorrow, I have a plan to bid farewell to them,” he added.
With the permission of the Chinese government, 59 out of 64 students stranded in the virus-stricken Chinese city of Wuhan were evacuated to Kandawnadi Hospital by a charter flight on 2 February. They are kept in isolation at Kandawnadi Hospital for 14 days.
