Qingdao Airlines of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) launched its new flight service from Yangon to Ningbo, according to Yangon Aerodrome Company Limited (YACL), a service provider of Yangon International Airport.
A 180-seater A320 of Qingdao is flying between Myanmar’s metropolis, Yangon, and Ningbo, the sub-provisional city and a port in northeast Zhejiang Province, China, south of Shanghai, on very Monday and Friday.
Established in 2013, Qingdao has connected Yangon International Airport with 35 overseas flights including 18 to cities in China. There are 13 Chinese airlines flying between YIA and destination in the giant neighbour.
Qingdao is a modern airlines jointly set up by Air China, Yantai-based Nashan Group and Qingdao regional government. It commenced A320-plane operations on April 26 in 2014. The carrier is based at Qingdao Liuting International Airport.
Yangon Aerodrome Company Limited (YACL) is the operator of Yangon International Airport (YIA), the busiest and largest among the three International Airports in Myanmar.
Chinese airlines such as Hainan Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Spring Airlines, Kunming Airlines, Ruili Airlines and Qingdao Airlines are providing flight services between Yangon International Airport and the cities in China.
The passengers to Yangon International Airport increased by 6.5 percent on 4.60 million within nine months in 2019, compared to the same period of last year, according to the YACL.
