KITSAPA- 29 Bengalis returned back through voluntarily via Taungpyo Letwel Reception Camp in Rakhine State.
The returnees from six households used to live in Maungdaw Township and have been staying at refugee camps in Bangladesh after they fled Rakhine State.
Officials from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population issued the National Verification Cards to those returnees in accordance with the rules and regulations as well as the authorities sent them to the Hla Pho Khaung Transit Center from Taungpyo Letwel reception center.
Similarly, nine displaced Bengalis returned from Bangladesh to Rakhine State on October 2nd.
Myanmar already received 351 verified returnees until October 22nd.
Myanmar had agreed with Bangladesh to repatriate verified returnees. Although Myanmar had carried out the preparatory measures to accept the displaced people since the beginning of January 23rd of 2018, there was no returnees.
