Yangon Region will conduct a traffic safety campaign for six days beginning June 10, according to a press conference held at Orchid Hotel in Yangon on June 8.

"There are traffic problems in the city. We always face inconveniences. This is why we want to wipe out or reduce those traffic problems," said campaign leader Mon Myat Aung.

During the campaign, pamphlets will be distributed to the townships of Tamway, Kyauktada, Lanmadaw, Sangyoung, Kamayut, Kyinmyindine, Ahlone, Insein, Kamayut, North Dagon and North Oakkalapa. The campaign also includes educative talks and giving presents.

The event will be organized by youths and officials responsible for traffic safety.

This is the second campaign and the first was conducted at toll gates.
