Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Yangon International Airport will extend the suspension of domestic flights until the end of October.

Currently, the flights of domestic airlines in Myanmar are being suspended as the daily number of Covid-19 cases increases.

“MNA will extend the suspension of its all domestic flights till October 31 as all the townships in Yangon Region are under stay-at-home order. But we plan to continue our relief flights to foreign countries as instructed,” MNA CEO Captain Than Tun told The Daily Eleven.

Mann Yadanarpon Airlines will continue to suspend its domestic flights until October 15, Golden Myanmar Airlines until October 31, Air KBZ until October 31 or until further notice and Air Thanlwin October 16.

According to the statements from the Ministry of Health and Sports and the Civil Aviation Department, international passenger flights at Yangon International Airport have been suspended since March 30 this year.
