The Yangon Gold Entrepreneurs Association (YGEA) on October 24 set a reference gold price of 3,088,300 kyats per tical (16.3g).
On January 10, 2023, the YGEA set around Ks2,204,000 per tical, but the external market had a local gold price of around Ks2,790,000.
On February 28, the external market had a local gold price of around Ks2,841,000 per tical.
On January 24, 2023, the YGEA set around Ks2,285,500 per tical, but the external market had a local gold price of around Ks2,823,000.
On September 10, the price of pure gold began at around Ks3,110,000 per tical, and closed at Ks3,130,000. A minimum price was Ks3,100,000 and a maximum around Ks3,130,000.
The record price of pure gold reached Ks2.6 million per tical on August 12; Ks2.7 million in the morning and Ks2.8 million in the afternoon on August 13 alone; and Ks3.67 million on August 31.
