Some employees from the temporarily suspended Teng Hui Myanmar garment factory in Htantabin Township will be transferred to other factories, according to Amyotha Hluttaw representative U Ye Yint Soe Nyunt.

Following a meeting between lawmakers, labour officials, and factory representatives on 7 September, arrangements are underway to reallocate the facility’s 2,000-plus workforce to fill shortages elsewhere. Teng Hui, an H&M supplier operating since 2013, temporarily halted operations due to raw material shortages and declining purchase orders.

Transfers will include the Create Beauty Myanmar knitwear factory in Hmawbi's Myaung Dagar Industrial Zone, which needs over 500 workers. Several other regional manufacturers—including Myanmar Pou Chen, Peak Outdoor, and Twinkle Light—currently face an aggregate shortfall of roughly 3,000 workers.
