Two more confirmed cases of COVID-19, total 121

Yangon—Two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported on 21 April, taking the total number of cases to 121, according to the statement by the Ministry of Health and Sports.

On 21 April, the National Health Laboratory in Yangon conducted 279 lab tests—185 lab tests in the first batch and 94 in the second batch. In the first batch, two persons tested positive for the virus.

The patient (Case-120) living in Dagon Myothit (East) Township in Yangon has no travel history and no close contact with the confirmed patient.

The patient (Case-121) from Taunggyi in Shan State (south) with a travel history has no close contact with the confirmed patient.

So far, nine confirmed patients tested negative for the virus. There have been five deaths from COVID-19.

Till 12 pm on 21 April, there are 123 new persons under investigation (PUI).
