Two men who killed a Chinese national in Shwelinban industrial zone arrested

Two men who killed a Chinese national and took U.S dollars from him were arrested on May 13 according to Yangon Region North District police force.

A Chinese national working as an IT expert in a construction company in Shwelinban industrial zone, Hlaing Tharyar Township, was stabbed to death on May 12.

He was found death on a vehicle on U Tun Nyo Street in Shwelinban industrial zone on May 11 3:30 pm. Upon investigation, it was found that he was a 63 years old working at a construction company lived at Min Theddi Kyawzwa Street. He got 3 severe stabbed wounds and died with the sustained injuries. 

“We investigated the CCTV footages and video footages taken by nearby people. One was arrested in Nyaung village in Hlaing Tharyar and another one in Ktauk Kyant,” said an unidentified police official on May 14. The two offenders were Win Ko Ko (31 years) and Han Win Tun aka Nga Pway (26 years). Both are living in Hlaing Tharyar Township. They committed the crime with 10 inches folded knife.

In the video file, they pretended they had an accident with the motorcycle they were driving with the car driven by Chinese national. Then, they demanded cash from the Chinese national and had a fight. They later stabbed the man and took U.S dollars from him. The money was taken half each. We got U.S currency and the knife they used in killing the man, continued the police official. They were being charged by the Hlaing Tharyar Township police force.
