Two lab technicians from Muse Hospital test positive for COVID-19

MUSE-----Two laboratory experts from Muse hospital from taking SWAB teams tested COVID-19 positive. They were tested with Gene Xpert.

“It is true that two health care workers tested COVID-19 positive. Their close contacts were placed under hotel quarantine. They will again be tested with a rapid COVID-19 Antigen test kit. We will provide necessary assistance to them,” said Dr. Tin Maung Nyunt from Northern Shan State Department of Public Health.

A 26 years old male living in the compound of Muse Hospital and a 23 years old male from Homon ward tested positive when all the health care workers from the Muse hospital were given COVID-19 test on October 18.

They were sent to Muse hospital by Garunar philanthropic association’s vehicle for further treatment. It is the second time Muse health care workers tested COVID-19. In May,  a health care worker from Mong Paw district tested positive . At present, there are 12 COVID-19 patients in a private ward in the new Muse hospital.
