YANGON-----Trishaw driver Hla Htwe, aged-54, was killed by a parcel bomb on Thunandar Road, Nya Ward in North Oakkalapa Township, Yangon Region, yesterday night, according to the neighbouring residents.

The victim was the youngest among his brothers and sisters.

The neighbouring resident said that a car threw two parcels at a place between Ayeyar bus-stop and Bonmar bus-stop on Thunandar Road in Nya Ward.

After an explosion coming from first parcel, Hla Htwe picked up the second parcel because he believed that a parcel was a traditional donation packing. However, another explosion occurred at the second parcel.

Hla Htwe was sent to North Oakkalapa Hospital but he died at the hospital around 9pm.
