In Taunggyi Township, near the middle gate above Aung Thapyay 222 Camp, a six-wheel vehicle collided with a parked trailer truck, resulting in three fatalities and injuries to seven others, according to social assistance organizations.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. on November 16, and the injured were immediately transported to the hospital by social assistance teams.
The collision happened when a motor vehicle returning from the Taunggyi Tazaungdaing Hot Air Balloon Festival rear-ended a trailer truck parked in Aung Thapyay.
Among the 12 to 13 people on the six-wheeler, three lost their lives. Apart from one woman, the rest sustained injuries.
"About seven people were injured, and three died. Among the injured, four are in critical condition," said an official.
The injured were taken to Sao San Htun Hospital in Taunggyi Township with assistance from Shwe Nyaung Township's Myoma Free Funeral Service Socity.
