A Chinese man was found dead with his hands tied behind his back, at his home in Latha Township, Yangon, and three Chinese suspects had been arrested for questioning, say police sources. 

Receiving information that a murder case happened on the third floor of Building No 51, Sinohdan Street, Latha Township on the night of December 15, authorities concerned rushed to the scene where a Chinese man named Feng Joan Mon was found dead with his hands tied behind his back and his legs tied with black tape. He sustained injuries in his head which was found bloodied.

After investigation, police hunted for three Chinese suspects and one was arrested on the night of the same day. The two others were apprehended at Yangon International Airport at 2 am on December 16. 

A police officer from Yangon Region Police Force said: "The case happened on the night of December 15. One was arrested on the same night. The two others were arrested at 2 am on December 16. They seemed to come here after their planned attempt. It is assumed that they wanted to rob rich men as they have financial difficulties. They hired their car for K100,000 per day. They had also collected spades, swords and tape rolls. They might have wanted to bury the dead body. In questioning, the suspects said they asked the man to get in their car. But he refused. Then the four went up to his flat. The man came down again for a meal by leaving them in his flat. When the man arrived back, the three men asked him to give or remit money. After a row, they killed the man after tied his hands in the back."  

A murder case has been opened at Latha Myoma Police Station under Section 302 of Penal Code.
