Strong wind blew off roofs of 13 buildings including a school and houses in Kalawthaut village, Mudon Township around 6:15 am on August 2, according to locals.
Due to strong wind, roofs and zinc sheets from houses were blown off. Trees were fallen down and some houses were destroyed according to a local.
“The roof and the ceiling of the school were also damaged by the wind but there were no causality,” he continued.
The clearing works in the village were being carried out by Myanmar Fire Services Department, social organizations and locals.
Similarly, roofs were blown off in middle of Kadonsee ward, Paung Township on 7:30 am on the same day according to locals.
Strong wind also destroyed the roofs of houses, school buildings and cemetery’s rest house in Karupi village in Thanbyuzayat Township in the evening of July 31.
