Shootings took place in front of the Ye Police Station in Sri Khema Ward, Ye, Mon State in the afternoon of July 28, according to the residents.

"Shooting occurred in front of Ye police station yesterday. We heard gunshots and explosions. I heard that the gunmen came to shoot on motorcycles. I don't know about the casualties," said a resident.

According to residents, after the shooting, the security forces conducted strict security checks at the entry and exit points of Ye.

In addition, on the morning of July 28, a man was shot and killed in Kabyawa village in Ye Township. The person who died was U Moe Lin, who was about 40 years old, according to the locals.

Also, on July 27, shootings took place at the White Bridge checkpoint on Ye - Dawei road and the security forces on the Ye-Chaung Taung River Bridge were shot on July 19, according to locals.

Last few days, U Win Myint, the administrator of Kyaukmichong (southern) Village in Ye Township, Mon State, Nai San Win, the administrator of Kotduk Village, and Ko Zaw, a resident of Motkanin Village, were also shot and killed.
