Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian Navy Vice-Admiral Vladimir Lvovich Kasatonov and party

Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited Warship Gremyashiy where the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Vice-Admiral Vladimir Lvovich Kasatonov and party greeted him according to the statement.

Warship Gremyashiy of the Russian Navy anchored at MITT jetty of the Thilawa Port on 28 October under a goodwill visit programme for three day visit. Vice-Admiral Vladimir Lvovich Kasatonov and Captain Andrey Kuznetsov welcomed Senior-General and party.

The Senior General took the salute of the Guard of Honour on board the Russian Warship. 

The Senior General received the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian Navy and party at the meeting hall of the vessel.

They later discussed multi-sector cooperation in two armed forces of the two countries, exchange of goodwill visits to further cement friendly relations and trust be¬tween the two countries and the two armed forces, and exchange of maritime technology and infor¬mation between the two navies of the two countries

The com¬manding officer and captain explained the installation of machinery, the capability of defence weapons, installation of modern systems for the resilience of bad weather, and preparations for performing rescue works in an emergency situation. They discussed matters on cooperation in technical sector of building of warship. 

The vessel plan to visit significant places in Myanmar, organize friendly sports events and hold the meetings. The Russian goodwill delegation met with Commander-in-Chief (Navy) of Myanmar and their delegation and held discussions in Nay Pyi Taw on October 25, 26 and 27.
