Sagaing Region controls Chickenpox

168 people in four townships of Sagaing Region caught chickenpox and the disease has now been under control, says Dr Kyaw Thu Swe, a leader of Special Disease Control and Vaccination Team from Sagaing Region Health Department.

The Chickenpox usually occurs in the age group 6 months to 15 years. It mainly affects kids but adult can get too. But, there is no harmful to the patients, according to Dr Kyaw Thu Swe.

“There are 168 chickenpox patients in four villages and a boarding-house. Now, we control the disease outbreak. The children under 15 years have to catch the disease but it isn’t serious disease,” said Dr Kyaw Thu Swe.
