He was not aware of reports that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, who was sentenced to serve prison term in Nay Pyi Taw Prison, had been moved to house arrest, said Major General Zaw Min Tun, spokesman for the State Administration Council (SAC).

When asked about reports that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has been moved from prison to house arrest, Major General Zaw Min Tun said, "I don't know anything about Daw Aung San Suu Kyi."

On July 9, after a meeting between Thai Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, it was reported that she was moved from the Nay Pyi Taw prison to a house in housing where deputy ministers live.

In addition, there are more reports that the Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw, U T Khun Myat, and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi met in recent days.

Similarly, a delegation led by China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Special Representative for Asian Affairs, Mr. Deng Xijun, arrived in Nay Pyi Taw and on July 27, he met with the chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee, Lt. Gen. Yar Pyae.

There are also reports that Mr. Deng Xijun and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi may meet, but it has not yet been independently confirmed.
